EXPERIENCES
Sunrises and sunsets, epic coastlines and hidden waterways, conversations with creatures big and small; SUP allows us to access a world very different from what we are used to. Viewing it in 360 degrees, we can create memorable moments with others. We have enjoyed these incredible experiences for many years, and now we want to share them with you.
- Our experiences are offered based on opportunities. When we spot suitable conditions, we will schedule suitable experiences. To stay up-to-date on what becomes available, sign up for our mailing list.
- Experiences are delivered in group settings, but you can contact us to arrange a private session for an individual, couples, family, and/or friends.
- You can hire a SUP board and kit from us, but we also encourage you to use your own if you have it.
DarkNESS inTO LIGHT
Over the past two years, our community of SUPers have shone their lights on the waters around Howth at dawn.
By doing so, we have helped to keep the essential services of Pieta available to those who need them most.
This experience is delivered free of charge; instead, donations are made to Darkness Into Light. An awesome total of €1940 was raised by our SUPers in 2022 and 2023. The sun will rise, and the light will shine again in 2024, and we plan to be back on the water for it.
NOTE: This is not a SUP education session. Previous SUP education and/or relevant experience are required (proof may be requested). While you will be guided by our coaches at all times, you must be able to self-rescue (prone paddling, and getting back on your board from the water), and you must be able to complete a 5km distance unaided.
"Had a fab early morning outing with Discover SUP for their Darkness into Light paddle in Howth."
SUP POLO
Dive into the next level of paddle excitement with us this Autumn by joining our SUP Polo games. In an exhilarating fusion of stand up paddle boarding and water/kayak polo, you’ll feel a constant rush as you chase down the ball alongside your team-mates.
Played in a similar style to 5-a-side football or basketball, SUP Polo brings opportunities to…
Develop your SUP skills and fitness as you move the ball around the field among your teammates.
Engage in teamwork and tactics, as you try to outwit your opponents.
Unleash your competitive spirit in short and fast-paced games for both new and seasoned SUPers.
Take part in the new spectacle that captivates both players and spectators!
NOTE: This is not a SUP education session. Previous SUP education and/or relevant experience are required, however games are designed for those with beginner ability. Inflatable boards must be used, no hard boards are allowed.
IRELAND'S EYE Adventure
Have you ever wanted to take to the waters around Ireland's Eye on your SUP? Now is your chance with this guided SUP excursion.
Once on the water, you'll experience the island's wonder from various sides. Eoin will share his insights and invite you to discover its hidden history, stunning landforms, and special wildlife.
NOTE: This is not a SUP education session. Previous SUP education and/or relevant experience is required (proof may be requested). While you will be guided by our coaches at all times, you must be able to self-rescue (prone paddling, and getting back on your board from the water) and you must be able to complete a 7km distance unaided.
"Eoin led a great tour around Ireland's Eye. Great fun, very safe, and nice bit of history/info about the island."
AnnuAL LIFFEY
SANTA SUP
We’re very proud to organise for Santa to arrive by SUP through Dublin city centre each year since 2020.
Joined by Mrs Claus, his reindeer, and the elves, they bring magic and joy to everyone along the Liffey river. His arrivals have been captured in photos and video. Over €2000 was raised for our ongoing charity campaign, building awareness and raising funds for Mental Health Ireland and the RNLI.
NOTE: This is not a SUP education session. Previous SUP education and/or relevant experience is required (proof may be requested). While you will be guided by our coaches at all times, you must be able to self-rescue (prone paddling, and getting back on your board from the water) and you must be able to complete an 8.5km distance unaided.
"A fabulous, safe, and well-organised trip on the River Liffey yesterday for the Annual Santa SUP"
