THE SUPer BOOK CLUB
Picture the scene - your SUP board is stowed away, and the dark nights are closing in. You’re missing being on the water.
Fear not, all is not lost.
Introducing The SUPer Book Club, a monthly get-together of like-minded SUPers, to read and chat about books related to our wider common interest, water. It could be a story about a grand tour, a recollection of underwater adventures, or lessons in what the watery clues around us reveal.
HOW DOES IT WORK
It’s very straightforward
- we’ll pick one book a month to read
- we’ll meet up online or in-person (TBC) on the last Thursday of each month (28/10, 25/11, 27/01, 24/02, 31/03)
- you can jump in and out. There's no requirement to commit to taking part every month (but we hope you will!).
WHAT WILL WE BE READING
We're open to all suggestions
For February, we're reading Ignore The Fear. No one had ever attempted it before. Yet as a complete beginner, and a terrified one at that, in April 2018 Fiona Quinn set out to see if she could SUP up the west coast of Britain, 800 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats (LEJOG).
